The Silver Threads Ministry at Calvary Southern Baptist Church is a vibrant and welcoming ministry dedicated to honoring, encouraging, and supporting the senior members of our church family and community. This ministry celebrates the wisdom, experience, faith, and lifelong contributions of seniors while providing opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth, service, and meaningful connection with others.
Through Bible studies, fellowship gatherings, prayer meetings, outings, special events, and community service opportunities, seniors are encouraged to remain active, engaged, and spiritually strengthened in every season of life. The Silver Threads Ministry creates a caring environment where lasting friendships are built, stories are shared, and individuals are reminded that their purpose and impact continue to matter greatly within the church and beyond.
The ministry also serves as a source of encouragement and support for seniors navigating life transitions, health challenges, caregiving responsibilities, or personal loss. By fostering compassion, unity, and faith-centered relationships, Silver Threads helps ensure that every senior feels valued, connected, and uplifted within the church family.
At its heart, the Silver Threads Ministry recognizes that every generation plays an important role in strengthening the body of Christ.
